Prepare a variety of complex Instrumentation and Control (I&C) engineering deliverables for projects in the energy industry; develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection; collect, assimilate and manage data for instrumentation engineering work; prepare complex instrumentation engineering calculations following standard methods, industry standards and principles; understand and adhere to budget, schedule and quality requirements; recognize, define and resolve problems within assigned area; work with other team members; share current knowledge of latest technology and processes. More specifically, this position will serve as responsible Instrument & Controls (I&C) Engineer on Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) projects; prepare technical specifications and material requisitions for complex instrumentation equipment & systems like Distributed Control System (DCS), Safety Instrumented System (SIS), High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIIPS), Fire & Gas (F&G) detection system, fire & gas detectors, analytical Instrumentation etc.; perform technical bid evaluations and vendor selection; prepare control systems network architecture drawing; prepares control system IO list and software configuration database; prepare Control & Instrument room equipment list; prepare complex Cause & Effect (C&E) diagrams; prepare Complex Control Loop Descriptions; review and markup Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs); review supplier engineering documents/drawings for mechanical equipment packages related to instrumentation and control systems; review and resolve comments on technical documents from marine certification and classification agencies like DNV; witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Panels, Process Analyzers etc.; provide pre-commissioning support and remote startup assistance.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus five years of related experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. Must have Professional Engineering (P.E.) license. Experience must include a minimum of 5 years of experience working with Distributed Control System, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Safety Instrumented System (SIS), High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) and Fire & Gas (F&G) Detection Systems; 2 years’ experience in the use of Analytical Instrumentation like Process Analyzers, Gas Chromatographs etc.; 2 years’ experience in developing complex cause & effect diagrams and complex control loop descriptions; and 5 years’ experience in witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
